From Dahomey via Toronto to Berlin… THE WOMAN KING wowed the audience at the Toronto International Film Festival and exceeded all expectations at the U.S. box office hitting No.1 at the release weekend.
Now, on September 27, 2022, THE WOMAN KING was celebrated in Berlin – a couple of days before the official release and in the presence of numerous celebrity guests, including Nikeata Thompson, Thelma Buabeng, Annabelle Mandeng, Chefket, Anika Decker, Tarik Tesfu, Nora Tschirner, Denise M’Baye, Pegah Ferydoni and many more. The screening was initiated by writer and TV & comedy author Jasmina Kuhnke (QuattroMilf) together with actor Jerry Kwarteng and host Dominik Porschen with the support of the movie theater, the UCI Luxe. TV & radio journalist Hadnet Tesfai moderated the evening.
Afterwards, everybody applauded this very important film: The highly relevant and captivating story, which combines impressive action scenes with an excellent performance by the actors, guarantees an extraordinary cinematic event.
