Lars Kraume’s portrait of post World War II Germany captivated the audience of the 68th Festival del film Locarno. DER STAAT GEGEN FRITZ BAUER marked one of the festival’s highlights thanks to the brilliant performace of Burghart Klaußner playing the resolute Chief Public Prosecutor Fritz Bauer, the one-of-a-kind cast surrounding Ronald Zehrfeld, Sebastian Blomberg und Jörg Schüttauf as well as its enthralling presentation.
